The Exit festival takes place in Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, which is located in the north of the country. More than 20 years ago the idea of the Exit festival was born and since then the festival has continued to be held once a year. Now, the Exit festival is an international festival branching out in several European countries such as Montenegro, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.

Even though the Exit is held in Serbia, 50% of the visitors are foreigners from over 70 countries around the world. According to the Exit website, around 200.000 people come to the Exit every year to revel in the good scene fostered by the Exit festival.
